Bactimox 500 MG Tablet 10 is used for managing the following conditions:

• Respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia and bronchitis
• Infections affecting the ear (otitis media), nose (sinusitis), and throat (tonsillitis)
• Genitourinary tract infections, including cystitis and urethritis
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Dental infections like dental abscesses
• Eradication of H. pylori bacteria in peptic ulcer disease

Take Bactimox 500 MG Tablet 10 as below:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• This medicine can be taken with or without food.
• Try to take your doses at evenly spaced intervals at the same times each day.
• Continue taking the medicine for the full duration prescribed by your doctor, even if you begin to feel better.

Bactimox 500 MG Tablet 10 contains the following component:

• Amoxicillin (500 mg): Amoxicillin belongs to the beta-lactam class of antibiotics. It works by inhibiting specific proteins known as penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall. By inhibiting these proteins, the medicine disrupts the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. As a result, the bacterial cells weaken and cannot withstand their internal pressure, leading to cell lysis (a process where cells burst open and die).

• Store Bactimox 500 MG Tablet 10 at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.
• Keep the tablet in a tightly closed container.
• Protect the medicine from excessive heat, light, and moisture.
• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.
• Ensure to use it before the expiry date mentioned on the container.
