Alflox-TZ Tablet is used to manage diarrhoea and dysentery caused by bacterial and parasitic infections. It is a combination medicine containing norfloxacin, an antibiotic, and tinidazole, an antiparasitic agent.
Norfloxacin stops the growth of disease-causing bacteria, while tinidazole acts against parasites and anaerobic bacteria, together helping treat mixed infections of the digestive tract. Take this tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, for the full duration advised.
Drinking plenty of fluids or an oral rehydration solution can help prevent dehydration while you recover.
Tell your doctor about any lung, liver or kidney disease, or heart disorders, before starting. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine. Report tendon pain or swelling, or persistent dizziness, to your doctor. Complete the full course even if you start feeling better, to reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance.
