Alflox Tz Tablet 10

Alflox-TZ Tablet is used to control diarrhoea and dysentery caused by bacterial or parasitic infections, including travellers' diarrhoea and intestinal infections linked to contaminated food or water.

Uses of Alflox-TZ Tablet are:

• Bacterial Diarrhoea: Controls frequent, loose bowel movements caused by susceptible bacteria.
• Dysentery: Manages symptoms such as bloody stools, abdominal pain and fever.
• Gastroenteritis and Traveller's Diarrhoea: Treats infections linked to contaminated food or water.

• Consult your doctor for the recommended dosage and duration of treatment.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• Take it with or without food, as advised by your doctor.
• If giving to a child, follow the instructions provided by their healthcare provider.

Alflox-TZ Tablet is taken orally, which means it is swallowed with water. Do not inject or apply this medicine topically.

Alflox-TZ Tablet contains two active ingredients: norfloxacin and tinidazole.

• Norfloxacin belongs to a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. It works by stopping the multiplication of disease-causing bacteria in your body.
• Tinidazole is a nitroimidazole that acts against parasites and anaerobic bacteria by damaging their DNA.

Together, these ingredients work synergistically to help manage diarrhoea and dysentery caused by bacterial and parasitic infections in your body.

Norfloxacin targets bacteria specifically by inhibiting an enzyme called DNA gyrase, which is essential for bacteria to grow and multiply. By inhibiting this enzyme, norfloxacin prevents further bacterial growth and helps control the infection.

Tinidazole acts against parasites and anaerobic bacteria by interfering with their DNA synthesis, leading to their death. It is effective against a wide range of parasites and anaerobic bacteria that can cause diarrhoea and dysentery.

• Store Alflox-TZ Tablet below 30°C.
• Keep the medicine in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Protect it from moisture by keeping it in its original packaging or a tightly closed container.
• Always store Alflox-TZ Tablet out of the reach of children.
• Do not use the medicine after its expiry date.

• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, especially if you are experiencing diarrhoea.
• Eat light, easily digestible meals that include fruits and vegetables.
• Avoid spicy and oily foods that can irritate your stomach.
• Practice good hygiene habits, such as washing your hands before meals and after using the restroom.
• Get enough rest and sleep to aid in your recovery process.

• Complete the full course of treatment for best results.
• Inform your doctor about any existing health conditions.
• Do not consume alcohol while taking Alflox-TZ Tablet.
• Rest and relax if you experience dizziness or drowsiness.
