CompositionAIR-M Tablet is used to relieve symptoms of seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, a blocked or runny nose, an itchy palate and red, watery eyes. It is a combination medicine containing fexofenadine, an antihistamine (anti-allergic), and montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist.
This medicine helps control nasal and eye allergy symptoms triggered by pollen, dust mites, mould or pet dander. Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food, as advised by your doctor. Avoid fruit juices around the time of your dose, as they can reduce how well fexofenadine works.
Keeping living spaces well ventilated and dust-free, minimising contact with pet hair and staying well hydrated can help reduce allergy symptoms.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, or a history of depression or other mental health problems, and about other medicines you take, including antacids. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Contact your doctor straight away if you notice mood or behaviour changes, such as agitation, sleep problems, low mood or unusual thoughts, or if drowsiness persists. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
