Aerotrop Inhalation 180Mdi

Aerotrop Inhalation 180mdi is used for:

• Long-term, once-daily maintenance treatment of bronchospasm in patients with COPD.
• Reducing the risk of COPD exacerbations (sudden worsening of symptoms).
  
   

• Hold the inhaler upright with the mouthpiece cover closed and shake it well to ensure the medication is properly mixed before each use.
• Open the inhaler by pulling down the mouthpiece cover until you hear a click, confirming it is fully open and ready for use.
• Breathe out as much as is comfortable, turning the head away from the inhaler, to prepare the lungs for medication intake.
• Place the mouthpiece in your mouth, seal your lips around it, and inhale slowly and deeply through your mouth—a click is heard as the medicine is released. Continue inhaling to ensure the full dose is delivered into the lungs.
• Remove the inhaler from the mouth, hold your breath for about 10 seconds or as long as comfortable, then exhale slowly through the nose. Close the mouthpiece cover until you hear another click, and rinse your mouth with water, spitting it out.

Aerotrop Inhalation 180mdi is meant for oral inhalation use.

Aerotrop Inhalation 180mdi contains the following active component:

• Tiotropium bromide (0.009 Mg): Tiotropium is a long-acting anticholinergic bronchodilator. It acts by blocking muscarinic (M3) receptors in the airways, leading to sustained relaxation of smooth muscles in the bronchial walls. This keeps the airways open for a longer time, reduces hyperinflation of the lungs, and allows for easier air movement during breathing.

• Store at room temperature in a dry place.
• Keep the inhaler device tightly capped when not in use.
• Protect from moisture and heat.
• Keep out of reach and sight of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Avoid smoking: Tobacco smoke worsens COPD and reduces the effectiveness of inhalers.
• Balanced diet: Opt for a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and protein to support muscle and lung health.
• Vaccination: Influenza and pneumococcal vaccination helps reduce respiratory infections.
• Breathing exercises: Practices such as pursed-lip breathing can improve oxygenation and manage shortness of breath.
