Eva Q Plus Oral Suspension is used to relieve constipation, particularly when linked to conditions such as piles and anal fissures, and to ease heartburn and indigestion.
It contains liquid paraffin, magnesium hydroxide (milk of magnesia), and sodium picosulphate. They lubricate and soften stools, draw water into the bowel, and stimulate bowel movement. It also has an antacid effect that helps neutralise stomach acid. Take it as prescribed; relief from constipation is usually seen within one to two days.
Drinking plenty of water, increasing dietary fibre and staying physically active can further support regular bowel movements while you are taking this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a blocked bowel, appendicitis, or severe stomach pain. It may also be used before diagnostic procedures such as a colonoscopy, or before and after surgery, as advised by your doctor. Speak to your doctor if constipation continues despite regular use.
