An antacid, Digene assorted Tablet is used to relieve constipation, acidity, and gas difficulties. Patients with esophagitis, gastritis, or stomach distress are typically offered this medication. It acts as a weak base, causing the pH of the stomach contents to rise over 3.5. Digene's effect reduces acidity and relaxes muscle spasm, offering pain relief in situations like gastric and duodenal ulcers. Aluminum hydroxide is a stomach antacid that is not systemic. In the gastrointestinal system, it interacts with phosphate to inactivate pepsin and neutralise stomach acid. This activity helps to alleviate the symptoms of stomach ulcers and hyperacidity. Magnesium hydroxide is somewhat alkaline and has a laxative effect. Simethicone works by lowering the surface tension of gas bubbles, making them easier to expel. It also keeps gas from building up in the digestive tract. Magnesium aluminium silicate hydrate neutralises excess acid in the stomach, which helps to relieve symptoms including acid indigestion, heartburn, and sour stomach.
