CompositionZoldria Injection is used to manage a range of bone disorders. It is used for Paget's disease of bone, for high calcium levels caused by cancer, and for bone complications of cancers such as multiple myeloma and cancers that have spread to the bones.
It contains zoledronic acid, a medicine known as a bisphosphonate, which helps protect the bones and reduce the breakdown of bone. It is given as a drip (infusion) into a vein by a healthcare professional, who will decide the dose and schedule based on your condition.
Simple measures support treatment. Stay well hydrated around the time of the infusion unless advised otherwise, maintain good dental care, and take any calcium and vitamin D your doctor recommends.
Before this medicine is given, tell your doctor about any kidney problems, dental problems, or planned dental work, and about other medicines you take. Report any severe bone, joint, or muscle pain, or a numb or aching jaw.
