Adequate hydration and nutritional support are important during bisphosphonate therapy. Drink plenty of fluids before and after receiving the infusion as advised by your medical team, and ensure adequate intake of calcium and vitamin D through diet or supplements as directed.
Before receiving this medicine, inform your doctor if you have severe kidney disease, low blood calcium levels (hypocalcemia), or ongoing dental issues. A dental check-up is recommended before starting treatment to prevent jaw bone complications (osteonecrosis). Your doctor will perform routine blood tests to monitor kidney function and mineral levels.
