Zivast 10 Tablet 10

Zivast 10 Tablet is used in adults to manage raised cholesterol and triglyceride levels and to lower the long-term risk of serious heart and circulation problems.

Uses of Zivast 10 Tablet are:

• High Cholesterol: Lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides and slightly raises HDL (good) cholesterol.
• Cardiovascular Risk Reduction: Helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke, including in people with diabetes or other cardiovascular risk factors.
• Artery Protection: Helps slow the build-up of fatty plaques in the blood vessels.

Bear these guidelines in mind while taking Zivast-10 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, without crushing or chewing it.

• You can take it with or without food.

• Maintain consistency by taking it at the same time each day.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Do not discontinue its use without speaking to your doctor first.

Zivast-10 Tablet is taken orally.

Zivast-10 Tablet contains atorvastatin (10 mg), which works on your body as follows:

• HMG-CoA Reductase Inhibition: Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase in your liver. This enzyme plays a crucial role in making cholesterol inside your liver.

• Reduction of Blood Cholesterol: By inhibiting the activity of HMG-CoA reductase, atorvastatin effectively lowers blood cholesterol levels.

• Increase in LDL Receptors: Atorvastatin also increases the number of LDL receptors on liver cells. This promotes the uptake and breakdown of LDL cholesterol from your blood, further reducing bad cholesterol levels.

• Store Zivast-10 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in a dry area, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children and pets.

• Use the medicine before its expiry date for optimal efficacy.

• Maintain a balanced diet low in saturated fats and cholesterol to support the management of dyslipidemia. This can help Zivast-10 Tablet work more effectively in managing your cholesterol levels.

• Regular exercise is beneficial. A minimum of 30 minutes of moderate-intensity activity, like brisk walking or cycling, on most days can contribute to healthy cholesterol levels and cardiovascular health. Do remember to consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regime.
