Zefu-CV 250 Tablet is used in the treatment of various mild to moderate bacterial infections in adults and adolescents.

Uses of Zefu-CV 250 Tablet are:

• Respiratory Infections: Treats sinus, throat, tonsil, and lung infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia.
• Ear, Urinary, and Skin Infections: Manages middle ear infections (otitis media), urinary tract infections, and skin infections.
• Other Bacterial Infections: Helps manage dental infections, gonorrhoea, and early-stage Lyme disease.

You should take Zefu-CV 250 Tablet as explained below:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take it during or after meals to increase the absorption of the medication.

• Do not chew or crush the tablet.

• Never exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

Zefu-CV 250 Tablet comprises two active components:

• Cefuroxime (250 mg): This component becomes active once it enters your body. It works by inhibiting an essential part of the bacterial cell wall synthesis process. It attaches itself to certain proteins in the bacteria, disrupting their cell wall-building process which leads to their destruction.

• Clavulanic Acid (62.5 mg): This element acts as a defender for cefuroxime against bacteria that produce certain enzymes known as betalactamases. These enzymes would usually degrade cefuroxime, but clavulanic acid effectively blocks these enzymes, ensuring that cefuroxime can do its job unhindered. This broadens the spectrum of bacteria that Zefu-CV 250 Tablet can act upon.

• Keep Zefu-CV 250 Tablet in its original package to protect it from light and air.

• Avoid places that are damp or humid like the bathroom.

• Keep this medicine out of reach and sight of children.

• Always check the expiry date before use.

• If you have a respiratory tract infection like bronchitis or pneumonia, avoid smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke as it can worsen your condition. Zefu-CV 250 Tablet is often used to manage such infections.

• In case of urinary tract infections, another common condition managed by Zefu-CV 250 Tablet, ensure adequate fluid intake, especially water, to help flush bacteria out of your urinary system.
