Wysolone 30 Tablet is used to treat and manage conditions caused by excessive inflammation or an overactive immune system, including severe allergies, asthma, autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, and skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. It contains prednisolone, a corticosteroid, which helps reduce swelling, redness and immune overactivity to bring these conditions under control.
Take it exactly as prescribed, generally with food to reduce stomach upset. If you have been taking this medicine for more than a few days, do not stop it suddenly; your doctor will provide a step-down (tapering) schedule to reduce the dose gradually and safely. Continue taking it for the full duration advised, even if you feel better.
A diet with adequate calcium and vitamin D, along with regular weight-bearing exercise, helps protect your bones during treatment. Limiting added salt can help reduce fluid retention, and monitoring your blood sugar is advisable if you have diabetes or a family history of it.
Tell your doctor if you have any current infection, diabetes, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers, glaucoma or osteoporosis before starting this medicine. Report any signs of infection, marked mood changes, vision problems or swelling of the ankles. If you are exposed to chickenpox or shingles and have not had them before, seek medical advice promptly, and inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
