Wysolone DT 20 Tablet is a powerful anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant used to treat flare-ups of asthma, severe allergies, rheumatoid arthritis, and certain kidney conditions like nephrotic syndrome. It acts as a ""fire extinguisher"" for the body's immune system, quickly calming down the overactive responses that lead to tissue damage and pain.
This medication contains Prednisolone, a corticosteroid. It works by entering the body's cells and blocking the production of chemicals (like prostaglandins and leukotrienes) that trigger inflammation. It also reduces the activity of the immune system, which is helpful in autoimmune diseases where the body mistakenly attacks its own healthy tissues.
This is a ""Dispersible Tablet"" (DT); dissolve it in a small amount of water before drinking, preferably after breakfast. Steroids should generally be taken in the morning to match the body's natural rhythm. Do not stop this medication suddenly if you have been taking it for more than a few days; your doctor will give you a schedule to slowly reduce the dose. Long-term use requires monitoring of bone density and blood sugar.
