Woflox-OZ Tablet is used to treat mixed bacterial and protozoal infections, particularly of the digestive and urinary systems. It is commonly used for loose motions (diarrhoea), dysentery, gastroenteritis, and urinary tract infections.
It contains ofloxacin, an antibiotic, and ornidazole, which acts against certain bacteria and parasites. Together, they treat susceptible mixed infections. Take it with or after food to reduce stomach upset, and complete the full course exactly as prescribed, even if symptoms improve early.
Drinking plenty of fluids helps prevent dehydration during infections that cause loose motions. Avoiding alcohol during and shortly after treatment is advised, as it can cause an unpleasant reaction with this type of medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, a nervous system condition, or are taking other medicines. Report any severe loose motions, tingling in the hands or feet, or signs of an allergic reaction. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
