Warfelix 1 Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of deep vein thrombosis: This is a condition where blood clots develop in the deep veins, usually in the legs.
• Prevention of pulmonary embolism: It's when a blood clot gets lodged in an artery in the lungs.
• Regulation of atrial fibrillation: An abnormal heart rhythm that increases the risk of clots.
• Post-heart valve replacement: To prevent clot formation after artificial heart valve implantation.
• Stroke prevention: It's used in patients at high risk due to blood clots.

Here's how you should take Warfelix 1 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Don't crush or chew the tablet.
• If you forget to take it, do so as soon as you remember on the same day. Don't double up your dose the next day.
• For specific dosages, always consult your doctor.

Warfelix 1 Tablet is taken orally.

Warfelix 1 Tablet consists of warfarin (1 mg), which acts on your body as below:

• Inhibits VKOR: Warfarin works by blocking an enzyme called vitamin K epoxide reductase (VKOR) in your body. VKOR plays a crucial role in activating certain clotting factors in your liver.
• Reduces Clotting Proteins: By blocking VKOR, warfarin effectively lowers the synthesis and functionality of the clotting proteins II, VII, IX, and X. This action reduces the ability of your blood to form clots.

• Store Warfelix 1 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15 and 30°C.
• Keep this medicine away from direct light and moisture.
• Always make sure to keep it out of reach of children.
• Use the medicine before its expiry date.

• If you are diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, try to maintain a balanced weight. Excess weight puts extra pressure on your veins, increasing the risk of blood clots.
• While taking Warfelix 1 Tablet, maintain a consistent intake of Vitamin K in your diet. Abrupt changes in Vitamin K consumption can affect the effectiveness of the medicine. Foods rich in Vitamin K include green leafy vegetables like spinach and broccoli. Consult your doctor for more specific advice.
