Walaphage G 2 Tablet 15

Walaphage G 2 Tablet is used in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to achieve effective blood sugar control through dual-action therapy.

Uses of Walaphage G 2 Tablet are:

• Type 2 Diabetes Management: Lowers elevated blood sugar levels in patients not controlled on single-ingredient medicines.
• Glycaemic Control: Helps maintain stable glucose levels throughout the day with sustained-release technology.
• Long-Term Protection: Helps protect against diabetes-related complications affecting the kidneys, eyes, and nerves.

• Take Walaphage G 2 Tablet 15 exactly as prescribed by your doctor, with a meal (usually breakfast or your first main meal).
• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew it.
• Do not skip meals while taking this medicine, as this may increase the risk of low blood sugar.
• Do not change the dose or stop the medicine on your own. Always talk to your doctor first.

Walaphage G 2 Tablet 15 is taken by mouth (orally).

Walaphage G 2 Tablet 15 combines two diabetes medicines, Glimepiride 2 mg and Metformin 500 mg:

• Glimepiride (2 mg) helps your pancreas release more insulin.
• Metformin (500 mg) lowers the sugar your liver makes, reduces the sugar absorbed from food, and helps your body use insulin better.

Together, they help control blood sugar levels.

• Store Walaphage G 2 Tablet 15 below 25°C, in a dry place away from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of the reach of children.
• Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
• Return any unused or expired medicine to your pharmacist for safe disposal.

• Eat balanced, regular meals that are low in sugar and high in fibre. Do not skip meals.
• Be active. Regular walking or cycling improves how your body uses insulin.
• Maintain a healthy weight, limit alcohol consumption and monitor your blood sugar as advised by your doctor.
