Viltab 50/1000 Tablet 15

Viltab 50/1000 Tablet 15 is used to manage type 2 diabetes.

Take Viltab 50/1000 Tablet 15 in the following way:

• Take the whole tablet with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or break before taking as it will reduce the efficacy of the medicine.
• Take it with or without food, but it is recommended at a fixed daily time for better results.

Viltab 50/1000 Tablet 15 is taken orally. 

Viltab 50/1000 Tablet 15 contains the following components:

• Vildagliptin (50 mg): It is a DPP-4 inhibitor which promptly and entirely inhibits DPP-4 activity. This inhibition leads to elevated fasting and postprandial levels of endogenous incretin hormones, including GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide 1) and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide).
• Metformin (1000 mg): This ingredient reduces sugar production in the liver, decreases sugar absorption in the gut, and improves insulin sensitivity, which enhances glucose uptake and utilisation by tissues like muscles.

• Viltab 50/1000 Tablet 15 should be stored at room temperature, at 30°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Incorporate foods abundant in healthy carbohydrates and fiber, including fruits, whole grains, and vegetables, into your diet.
• Adopt a regular eating schedule, avoiding meal skips and overeating.
• Adhere to a nutritious diet and take a 45-minute walk to complement Viltab 50/1000 Tablet 15 treatment.
• Sustain a healthy weight through regular exercise.
• Ensure proper rest, and mitigate stress through meditation or yoga.
