Udiwok-300 Tablet is used to dissolve cholesterol-based gallstones in people with a functioning gallbladder who are not suitable for surgery, and to manage primary biliary cholangitis, a long-term autoimmune liver condition. It may also be used to manage hepatobiliary disorders associated with cystic fibrosis in children aged 6 years and older.
It contains ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA). Take it with food as prescribed. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of treatment based on your condition. Dissolving gallstones may take several months of regular use, so continue taking the medicine even if you feel well.
A balanced diet and avoiding rapid weight changes help support gallbladder and liver health alongside this medicine. Your doctor may arrange regular liver function tests and scans to check progress during treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any liver or bile duct problems or if you have frequent diarrhoea. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
