Travoprost Eye Drops are used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in adults with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. This is a single-ingredient prostaglandin analogue containing travoprost.
Lowering eye pressure helps protect the optic nerve and reduce the risk of vision loss. Use it in the affected eye or eyes in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and continue it even when your eyes feel comfortable, as glaucoma often has no early symptoms.
Attend regular eye check-ups so your eye pressure can be monitored. Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye, and leave a few minutes between different eye drops.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have eye inflammation, have had eye surgery or wear contact lenses, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Ask your doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop using the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
