Travoprost Eye Drops are used to manage increased pressure inside the eye in adults with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Lowering eye pressure helps prevent damage to the optic nerve and reduces the risk of vision loss.
It contains travoprost, a prostaglandin analogue that works by improving the outflow of fluid from the eye, thereby lowering pressure within the eye. Use it as prescribed, usually into the affected eye or eyes. Continue using it regularly, even if your eyes feel comfortable, as glaucoma often has no early symptoms.
Attending regular eye check-ups and monitoring your eye pressure as advised by your doctor are important parts of managing glaucoma alongside this medicine.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any eye inflammation, have had eye surgery, or wear contact lenses. Do not stop using the medicine unless your doctor advises you to, even if your symptoms improve.
