Toujeo Solostar Injection is used for managing the following:

• Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes

• A healthcare professional will demonstrate how to use this medicine. You can follow the same instructions to take subsequent doses. 
• Be aware that this medicine is for injection only. Do not attempt to swallow or apply it topically.

Toujeo Solostar Injection is administered subcutaneously, which involves injecting under the skin. Try rotating the injection sites to avoid formation of lumps.

Toujeo Solostar Injection contains the following components:

• Glargine (300 IU): Glargine is a synthetic long-acting insulin. It functions by acting like naturally occurring insulin in your body. Insulin is a hormone that regulates sugar levels in your blood. It stimulates glucose uptake in cells of skeletal muscles and adipose (fat) tissue, thus reducing the amount of glucose in your blood. It inhibits glucose production in the liver, further reducing the amount of glucose available in your blood. It reduces glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, ensuring that excess glucose is eliminated from your body through urine.

• Store Toujeo Solostar Injection in a cool, dry place.
• Keep it away from direct light.
• Ensure the injection is kept out of reach of children.
• Always check the expiration date before use, and do not use the injection if it has expired.

• Regularly monitor your blood sugar levels.
• Maintain a balanced diet, focusing on whole grains, lean proteins, and plenty of fruits and vegetables.
