CompositionTestoheal Gel 5gm is a hormone replacement gel applied to the skin, used to treat low testosterone levels (male hypogonadism) in men and to ease symptoms such as reduced sex drive, tiredness and mood changes. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing testosterone, and belongs to a class of medicines called androgens (male sex hormones).
This medicine works by replacing the testosterone that the body is not making enough of, which restores normal levels and supports male sexual development and maintenance of male characteristics where testosterone is lacking. Apply it to clean, dry, healthy skin as your doctor directs, wash your hands afterwards, and cover the area with clothing once the gel has dried.
Keep to your doctor's testing schedule, as blood tests help keep your testosterone level in the right range, and regular blood count and prostate health checks are usually advised. Do not wash the application area for the time your doctor advises, so the gel can be absorbed.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have prostate or breast cancer, or liver, heart or kidney problems, or sleep apnoea. Avoid skin-to-skin contact at the application site with women and children, as the hormone can transfer and cause unwanted effects, and tell your doctor if you notice swelling, breast tenderness or mood changes.
