Zetiheal Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Lowering LDL or "bad" cholesterol levels

• Reducing total cholesterol in the blood

• Managing hypercholesterolemia

• Preventing heart disease complications

• Decreasing risk of heart attacks

• Reducing chances of stroke

• Supporting diet and exercise for cholesterol control

• Complementing statin therapy for better cholesterol management

Follow these instructions while taking Zetiheal Tablet 10:

• Take this tablet daily with a glass of water.

• Swallow the tablet whole without crushing, breaking or chewing it.

• Take it at the same time each day to help you remember.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Zetiheal Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Zetiheal Tablet 10 contains ezetimibe (10 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Cholesterol absorption inhibition: Ezetimibe targets a specific protein in your small intestine called Niemann-Pick C1-Like 1 (NPC1L1), which is responsible for absorbing cholesterol from your food into your bloodstream.

• Reduced intestinal uptake: By blocking the NPC1L1 protein, this medicine prevents cholesterol from being absorbed through the walls of your small intestine, effectively reducing the amount that enters your bloodstream.

• Decreased blood cholesterol: With less cholesterol being absorbed from your diet, the overall levels of cholesterol in your blood decrease, particularly the harmful LDL cholesterol.

• Complementary action: Unlike medicines that reduce cholesterol production in the liver, ezetimibe works specifically in your digestive system, making it effective when used alone or alongside other cholesterol-lowering medicines.

Follow these instructions while storing Zetiheal Tablet 10:

• Store Zetiheal Tablet 10 at room temperature.

• Keep the medicine in its original container and protected from light and moisture.

• Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.

• Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.

• Do not use Zetiheal Tablet 10 after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Follow a low-cholesterol, low-fat diet to help reduce your blood cholesterol levels. Focus on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins instead of fatty foods.

• Engage in regular physical activity (at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days) to help lower your LDL cholesterol (the "bad" cholesterol) and improve your heart health.
