Healing Cough & Cold Tablet is used to relieve symptoms of the common cold and other upper respiratory tract infections, including cough with mucus, nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, headache, body aches and fever. It contains ambroxol, cetirizine, guaifenesin, paracetamol and phenylephrine. It belongs to the classes of medicines called mucolytics, antihistamines, expectorants, analgesics, antipyretics and nasal decongestants.
This combination helps loosen and clear thick mucus from the airways, reduces histamine-related symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose, and relieves pain and fever. Phenylephrine is included to relieve nasal congestion, although evidence of benefit from oral phenylephrine at recommended doses is limited. This medicine provides symptomatic relief and does not cure the underlying viral infection.
Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Adequate rest, hydration and avoiding smoke or other respiratory irritants may help support recovery.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, liver or kidney problems, thyroid disorders, glaucoma or difficulty urinating. Avoid taking other cold medicines or paracetamol-containing products without medical advice, as they may contain overlapping ingredients. This medicine may cause drowsiness or dizziness.
