Tenovate GN Cream is a combination topical medicine used to treat severe and persistent inflammatory skin conditions accompanied by secondary bacterial infections. It is commonly prescribed to manage conditions like infected eczema, severe allergic dermatitis, and psoriasis where microbial contamination is present.
This cream contains two active ingredients: clobetasol propionate and neomycin sulphate. Clobetasol is a highly potent corticosteroid that works by decreasing localised swelling, reducing skin redness, and alleviating severe itching, while neomycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that targets and eliminates infection-causing skin bacteria. It should be applied in a thin layer.
To support your treatment, cleanse and fully dry the affected skin area before applying the cream. Avoid scratching or picking at the lesions, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing over the area to minimise skin friction, and maintain high standards of personal hygiene to avoid spreading the secondary skin microbes.
Before using this cream, inform your doctor if you have viral skin infections, skin tuberculosis, or circulation issues. Do not apply it onto open wounds, deep cuts, or extensive body areas, and avoid using airtight dressings unless directed. This cream is for external use only; keep it away from eyes.
