Tenepride M 500 Tablet is used in adults with type 2 diabetes to help control blood sugar levels when a single medicine is not enough to keep blood sugar under control.

Uses of Tenepride M 500 Tablet are:

• Type 2 Diabetes: Helps control blood sugar in adults when a single medicine is not enough.

• Take Tenepride M Tablet as instructed by your doctor.
• You can take it with or without food.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
• If you accidentally take more than the prescribed dose, seek medical attention immediately.

Tenepride M Tablet is taken orally, which means it is swallowed with water. It is not to be taken through injection or applied to the skin.

Tenepride M Tablet contains two active ingredients: metformin hydrochloride and teneligliptin hydrobromide hydrate (equivalent to teneligliptin).

Metformin works by reducing the production of glucose in the liver and decreasing the absorption of glucose in the intestines. This helps lower blood sugar levels.

Teneligliptin inhibits the action of an enzyme called dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4). By inhibiting this enzyme, teneligliptin increases insulin levels and decreases glucagon levels. Insulin helps lower blood sugar levels, while glucagon raises blood sugar levels. Therefore, by inhibiting DPP-4, teneligliptin ultimately helps lower blood sugar levels.
