Tenebite 20 Tablet is a medicine used to manage blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is prescribed alongside dietary adjustments and regular physical activity to optimise glycaemic control. Maintaining consistent blood sugar levels helps reduce the risk of serious long-term complications, such as kidney damage, vision loss, nerve damage, and heart disease.
It contains teneligliptin, an antidiabetic medicine belonging to the class of DPP-4 inhibitors. It acts by increasing incretin hormone levels, which triggers the release of insulin from the pancreas when blood glucose levels are elevated and reduces excess glucose production by the liver. Take it as prescribed with or without food as prescribed. Do not discontinue treatment without consulting your doctor.
Lifestyle measures are an integral part of diabetes care. Maintain a balanced diet, engage in regular exercise, manage your weight, and check your blood sugar levels regularly as advised by your doctor.
Before starting Tenebite 20 Tablet, inform your doctor if you have a history of pancreatitis, liver or kidney problems, or heart conditions. Seek immediate medical advice if you experience severe, persistent stomach pain that radiates to your back.
