TCOGLOB 1MG CAPSULE 10 is a medicine used to help prevent the body from rejecting a transplanted organ in people who have received a liver, kidney, or heart transplant. It is also used in some conditions where the immune system is overactive.
This capsule belongs to a group of medicines called immunosuppressants, which reduce the activity of the immune system so the body accepts the new organ. Swallow the capsule and take it exactly as directed at the same times each day. Do not stop it without medical advice, as this could risk rejection of the transplant.
Because this medicine lowers the body's defences, simple precautions help alongside it. These include good hand hygiene, avoiding people with infections where possible, and protecting your skin from strong sunlight as advised by your transplant team.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, or other medicines you take, as many can interact. Your care team will check your blood levels, kidney function, blood sugar, and blood pressure regularly. Tell them promptly about signs of infection such as fever or sore throat.
