Tazoniche 2000/250 Mg Injection 1 is used to treat severe and life-threatening bacterial infections such as septicaemia (blood poisoning), pneumonia, complicated urinary tract infections, and serious infections of the skin, bones, lungs, and abdomen. It contains piperacillin and tazobactam, a combination antibiotic that fights a broad range of bacteria.
This medicine is given as an injection or infusion into a vein, usually in a hospital setting under close medical supervision. It is generally reserved for serious infections that need urgent, hospital-based treatment. Complete the full course as directed by your care team, even if you start to feel better, to help ensure the infection is fully cleared.
Alongside this treatment, staying well hydrated and following any dietary or activity advice from your care team can support your recovery. Your doctor may also monitor your kidney function and blood counts during treatment.
Before starting this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, a history of allergic reactions to penicillin-type antibiotics, or are taking other medicines. Inform your care team if you notice a skin rash, breathing difficulty, or swelling, as these may indicate an allergic reaction. It should be used with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
