Mapeptoz 2000/250 Mg Injection 1 is used to treat severe, hospital-level bacterial infections such as blood infections (septicaemia), pneumonia, complicated urinary tract infections, and serious infections of the skin, bones, lungs and abdomen.
It contains piperacillin, a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic that kills bacteria, and tazobactam, which protects it from the enzymes bacteria use to resist it.
It is given by injection or infusion in hospital under close supervision. The dose and duration are set by the treating doctor.
Tell your doctor about any penicillin allergy or kidney problems before treatment, and report any severe reaction promptly.
