Taxim O 400 Tablet 10

Taxim-O 400 Tablet should be used in pregnancy only if needed and should be taken strictly on doctors’ advice.

Though studies have shown that cefixime is not passed through breast milk, it is advised to discontinue breastfeeding in case Taxim-O 400 Tablet is advised to the breastfeeding mother. It is recommended to inform your doctor if you are a breastfeeding mother before using this medicine.

There is an increase in the severity of side effects when alcohol is consumed along with the Taxim-O 400 Tablet. Thus, it is advised to avoid consumption of alcohol with the use of this tablet.

In the case of patients with liver impairment who are on antimicrobial therapy like cephalosporins, it may result in a fall of prothrombin time (A test to check blood clotting time). Be cautious about the use of the Taxim-O 400 Tablet. Consult your doctor before use.

Taxim-O 400 Tablet should be taken cautiously in case of impaired kidney function. Dose adjustment may be required in patients with severe kidney diseases. It is recommended to consult your doctor before use and advice.  

It is advised to avoid taking Taxim-O 400 Tablet If you are allergic to Cefixime. Please consult your doctor before using it. If you are allergic to the Taxim-O 400 Tablet or the constituents of the medication, then do not take it. Discontinue the use of Taxim-O 400 Tablet immediately and seek the advice of a doctor.

The safety of Taxim-O 400 Tablet in children less than six months has not been established. Please consult your child’s doctor for advice before using it. 

In the case of older patients, kidney function should be assessed before the medicine is taken. Consult the doctor before use and advice.
