Spurge Tablet is used to provide relief from severe abdominal cramping, muscle spasms, and localised pain.

Uses of Spurge Tablet are:

• Smooth Muscle Spasms: Relieves muscle cramps in the stomach, intestines, and urinary tract.
• Colicky Pain: Eases intense pain associated with kidney stones and gallstones.
• Menstrual Pain: Reduces severe painful cramping during menstrual periods.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Take the medicine with or after meals to minimise potential stomach discomfort.

• Always take the medicine in the dosage and frequency prescribed by your doctor.

• If you decide to stop taking this medicine, consult your doctor first.

Spurge Tablet 10 works in the human body in the following ways:

• Drotaverine (80 mg): This ingredient selectively inhibits the phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) enzyme. This enzyme is responsible for the degradation of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), a compound found inside cells. By inhibiting the PDE4 enzyme, drotaverine increases cAMP levels, leading to the relaxation of smooth muscles in the gut and other internal organs, helping relieve cramps, spasms, and colic.

• Mefenamic acid (250 mg): Mefenamic acid works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme, responsible for producing prostaglandins (chemical substances that cause pain, inflammation, and fever). By blocking prostaglandin synthesis, mefenamic acid provides pain relief.

• Store Spurge Tablet 10 at room temperature below 30°C.

• Keep it away from excess heat, light, and moisture.

• Always ensure the tablet container is tightly closed.

• Remember to keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Use the medicine before the expiry date mentioned on the pack.

• For conditions like IBS, try including more fibre in your diet. This can help manage symptoms by making your bowel movements more regular.
