Sporidex Suspension may interact with the following medications:

• Probenecid: The concomitant use of the medicine with probenecid is contraindicated as it can increase the concentration of cephalexin in your child's body, causing adverse effects.

• Metformin: The medicine, when given along with metformin, may increase the level of metformin in your child's blood, causing hypoglycaemia (low blood glucose level).

• Live vaccines: Sporidex Suspension may decrease your child's immune response to certain live vaccines like typhoid vaccine.

• Anticoagulants: If your child is given warfarin, an anticoagulant, using Sporidex Suspension may increase their risk of bleeding.

Sporidex Suspension can interact with certain foods, such as:

• Zinc-rich food: Foods rich in zinc like dairy products, whole grains, and red meat may interfere with the absorption of cephalexin, reducing its effectiveness.

Sporidex Suspension may interact with the following diseases:

• Gastrointestinal diseases: Use this medicine with caution if your child has a history of gastrointestinal conditions like colitis, as it may worsen their condition.

• Renal impairment: If your child has significant kidney problems, the medicine should be used cautiously as it has the potential to trigger seizures.

The daily dose of Sporidex Suspension should be given to your child as advised by the doctor. The dosage might vary depending on factors like the severity of the infection and how your child responds to the medicine. For further details regarding dosage, refer to the package insert.
