Safexim-200 Tablet is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections affecting the ears, nose, throat, chest, and lungs. It is also effective for managing urinary tract infections (UTIs), gastrointestinal infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections, such as gonorrhoea.

To use Safexim-200 Tablet:

• Consult your doctor for specific advice on dosage and duration of treatment.
• Disperse the tablet in a glass of water.
• Drink it immediately without crushing or chewing.
• Follow your doctor's prescribed duration of therapy even if you feel better before completing it.

Safexim-200 Tablet is taken orally, which means it is ingested by swallowing with water. It is not to be taken externally or injected.

Safexim-200 Tablet contains cefixime as its active ingredient.

Cefixime works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall. It blocks certain enzymes involved in building the cell wall structure of bacteria. This disruption weakens the cell wall integrity and makes the bacteria more susceptible to destruction by the body's immune system.
