• Major depressive disorder or depression: Major depressive disorder is a mood disorder characterised by persistent sadness, loss of interest, feelings of worthlessness or guilt, changes in appetite and sleep patterns, and difficulty concentrating. Rexipra 10 mg tablet helps alleviate these symptoms, reduces anxiety and improves overall mood.
• Anxiety disorder: Anxiety disorder is characterised by excessive worrying, fear, and physical symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, sweating, and restlessness. Rexipra 10 mg tablet is prescribed to treat anxiety disorder to help reduce anxiety, manage symptoms, and promote a sense of calmness and control.
• Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD): It is a mental health condition characterised by uncontrollable, recurring thoughts that leads to repetitive behaviours. People with OCD often engage in rituals or routines to alleviate anxiety caused by obsessions. Rexipra tablet helps reduce the frequency and intensity of distressing behaviours, allowing individuals to regain control over their thoughts and actions.
• Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD): It is a mental health condition that may develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. Symptoms of PTSD include disturbing memories or flashbacks and nightmares. Rexipra 10 mg may be used to treat PTSD to help manage symptoms, reduce anxiety, and improve overall well-being.
• Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD): PMDD is a severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) characterised by intense mood swings, irritability, depression, and physical symptoms. Rexipra 10 mg tablet may be prescribed for PMDD to help alleviate these symptoms and improve emotional stability during the menstrual cycle.
• Vasomotor symptoms of menopause: Vasomotor symptoms, commonly known as hot flashes and night sweats, are experienced by women during menopause due to hormonal changes. Rexipra 10 mg tablet may help manage these symptoms and reduce the frequency and severity of hot flashes.

• Swallow Rexipra 10 mg tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Do not change the tablet dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Rexipra 10 mg is administered orally.

• Escitalopram, the active ingredient in Rexipra 10 mg tablet, is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. It increases the amount of a chemical called serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is important for transmitting messages between brain cells.
