Respicure-LS Syrup is used to relieve productive cough with thick mucus, chest congestion, and wheezing in conditions such as bronchitis or asthma-related airway narrowing. It contains ambroxol, a mucus-thinning medicine, and levosalbutamol, a bronchodilator.
Ambroxol loosens thick mucus so it can be coughed up more easily, while levosalbutamol relaxes the muscles around the airways to ease breathing. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor using the measuring cup provided.
Drinking enough fluids may help loosen mucus unless your doctor has advised you to limit fluids.
Tell your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or an overactive thyroid. This syrup is not a rescue treatment for a sudden asthma attack. Seek urgent medical help if breathing suddenly worsens or your reliever inhaler does not help.
