Ambrolite Levo Syrup is used to treat a productive (wet) cough where thick, sticky mucus makes breathing difficult. It is highly effective for patients with bronchitis or asthma who feel "congested" in the chest. This syrup helps clear the lungs by relaxing the bronchial tubes and making the phlegm easier to cough up, providing significant relief from chest tightness.
This medication contains Levosalbutamol, Ambroxol, and Guaifenesin. Levosalbutamol relaxes the muscles in the airways to let in more air; Ambroxol thins the thick mucus so it doesn't stick to the lungs; and Guaifenesin increases the volume of fluid in the airways to help flush out the debris. This "triple-clearance" action ensures the airways are both opened and cleaned.
This syrup should be taken as prescribed by your doctor, usually 2 to 3 times a day. It is often recommended to drink plenty of warm fluids while on this medication to help the mucolytic work more effectively. Consult your healthcare provider if you experience shaky hands, a fast heartbeat, or if the cough does not improve within a week.
