Ambrolite Levo Syrup 100ml

Ambrolite Levo Syrup is used for managing the following conditions:

• Productive cough associated with bronchial asthma

• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

• Bronchitis where excessive mucus production is a concern

• Conditions like bronchiectasis leading to excess mucus in the airways

• Pneumonia with symptoms involving mucus overproduction

• Other lower respiratory tract disorders characterised by excessive mucus production.

Use Ambrolite Levo Syrup as follows:

• Give your child this medicine using the measuring cup provided, ensuring the correct dosage.

• Always shake the bottle well before use.

• Keep the bottle tightly sealed after each use.

• This syrup is sugar-based, so if your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving them this medicine.

Ambrolite Levo Syrup is given orally.

Ambrolite Levo Syrup works through the combined action of its three active ingredients:

• Ambroxol (30 mg): This mucolytic agent breaks down mucopolysaccharides in the respiratory tract. This helps in reducing mucus thickness and aids in its removal through coughing. Additionally, it stimulates the production of a substance called pulmonary surfactant which keeps the airways open.

• Levosalbutamol (1 mg): This selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist acts as a bronchodilator. It helps in relaxing the smooth muscles of the airways, widening them and making breathing easier for your child. Levosalbutamol is known to cause fewer side effects compared to similar medicines.

• Guaifenesin (50 mg): Guaifenesin is an expectorant which increases the volume while reducing the thickness of secretions in the respiratory tract. This action promotes the removal of mucus from the airways when your child coughs.

• Store Ambrolite Levo Syrup below 30°C, ideally in a dry place.

• After opening, tightly close the bottle and use the syrup within 1 month.

• Check expiry details on the bottle; never give expired syrup to your child.

• As Ambrolite Levo Syrup manages respiratory issues, ensure that your child is not exposed to smoke or dust. Keeping the home environment clean can help reduce symptoms.
