Ambrolite Levo Syrup is used to treat a productive (wet) cough where thick, sticky mucus makes breathing difficult. It combines ambroxol, a mucolytic, with levosalbutamol, a bronchodilator, and is effective for patients with bronchitis or asthma who feel congested in the chest.
Ambroxol thins and loosens mucus so it can be coughed up more easily, while levosalbutamol relaxes the muscles around the airways, widening them and easing breathing, together relieving chest congestion and making coughing more productive.
Give this syrup to your child using the measuring cup provided, at the dose your doctor prescribes based on age and weight, with or without food.
Tell your doctor if your child has a heart condition or diabetes, as levosalbutamol can affect heart rate and blood sugar in some people. Report a persistent cough that does not improve, or any tremor or fast heartbeat.
