Renopress-XL 2.5 Tablet is used for smooth muscle relaxation in cardiovascular and urological conditions.

Uses of Renopress-XL 2.5 Tablet are:

• High Blood Pressure (Hypertension): Lowers elevated blood pressure to help help reduce the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and kidney dysfunction.
• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): Relieves urinary hesitation, weak stream, and frequent night urination in men with an enlarged prostate.
• Raynaud’s Phenomenon & Heart Failure: Improves peripheral circulation to fingers/toes and reduces heart workload in congestive heart failure.

To use Renopress-XL-2.5 Tablet, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• The tablet can be taken with or without food.

• Do not exceed the prescribed dosage without consulting your doctor.

• When starting this medicine or increasing the dose, take the first dose at bedtime to minimise dizziness or fainting.

• Always follow your doctor's specific instructions on usage and dosage.

Renopress-XL-2.5 Tablet contains Prazosin (2.5 Mg). Here’s how it works:

• Alpha-1 Receptor Blocking: Prazosin blocks alpha-1 receptors in the smooth muscles of your blood vessels. This action causes these muscles to relax and widen, a process known as vasodilation.

• Blood Pressure Reduction: The vasodilation effect reduces resistance to blood flow, effectively lowering your blood pressure and improving circulation.

• Prostate Gland and Bladder Relaxation: In the prostate gland and bladder, prazosin's blocking action on alpha-1 receptors relaxes these muscles, making urination easier for men suffering from BPH.

• Store your Renopress-XL-2.5 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Protect the medication from excessive light, moisture, and heat.

• Ensure the medicine is out of reach of children.

• If you're managing high blood pressure with Renopress-XL-2.5 Tablet, try reducing your salt intake. Consuming too much salt can elevate blood pressure levels.
