Reditux 100 Injection 10ml is used for the following:

• Treating non-Hodgkin's lymphoma

• Managing chronic lymphocytic leukaemia

• Managing granulomatosis with polyangiitis

• Helping patients unresponsive to other therapies

• Targeting B-cell-related conditions

• Supporting combination cancer treatment protocols

• Controlling autoimmune inflammatory disorders

• Reducing disease progression in blood cancers

Follow these instructions when Reditux 100 Injection 10ml is administered:

• This medicine must only be administered by a healthcare professional in a clinical setting.

• Medications may be given before the infusion to reduce reactions.

• Your vital signs will be monitored during the administration.

• The infusion is usually given slowly, with the rate gradually increased.

Reditux 100 Injection 10ml is administered intravenously.

Reditux 100 Injection 10ml contains rituximab (100 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• B-cell targeting: Rituximab specifically attaches to a protein called CD20, which is found on the surface of B lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell), allowing the medicine to precisely target these cells.

• Complement-dependent cytotoxicity: Once attached to B cells, rituximab activates the body's complement system, which is a group of proteins that work together to destroy the targeted B-cells.

• Antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity: Rituximab marks B cells for destruction by the immune system's natural killer cells, which recognise the marked cells and eliminate them from your body.

• Direct apoptosis induction: The medicine triggers a process called apoptosis (programmed cell death) in B cells, causing them to self-destruct in a controlled manner.

• B-cell depletion: Through these mechanisms, rituximab significantly reduces the number of B cells in your body, which is beneficial in conditions where these cells contribute to disease development.

• Store Reditux 100 Injection 10ml in a refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C.

• Never freeze the medicine as this damages its structure.

• Protect from light by keeping it in the original packaging.

• Check that the solution remains clear without particles before use.

• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the vial.

• If you have rheumatoid arthritis, consider following an anti-inflammatory diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids (found in fish like salmon) and colourful fruits and vegetables to help manage joint inflammation.

• For patients with lymphoma, ensure adequate protein intake from lean sources to help maintain muscle mass during your treatment course.
