Recodex DX Syrup is used to relieve the symptoms of cough and cold in children aged 2 years and above. It helps ease a dry, irritating cough along with allergy-type symptoms such as a runny nose, sneezing, and itchy or watery eyes.
It contains dextromethorphan, a cough suppressant, and chlorpheniramine, an antihistamine. They reduce dry cough and allergy symptoms. Measure each dose with the cup provided and give it as prescribed. Because it can cause drowsiness, supervise your child's activities while they are taking it.
Alongside this medicine, offering warm fluids, keeping the air moist, and encouraging rest can help soothe the throat and ease a cough. Avoiding smoke and other irritants also supports recovery.
Before giving this medicine, tell your child's doctor about any ongoing conditions or other medicines your child takes, including other cough or cold remedies. Speak to your child's doctor if the cough lasts more than a week, comes back, or is accompanied by a high fever or breathing difficulty.
