Razel-F 10 Tablet is used to manage cholesterol and triglycerides.

Uses of Razel-F 10 Tablet are:

• Mixed Dyslipidaemia: Lowers LDL cholesterol and triglycerides and raises HDL cholesterol.
• High Triglycerides: Helps control raised triglyceride levels.
• Cardiovascular Risk: Helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Here's how you should take Razel-F10 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid breaking, crushing or chewing it.

• It can be taken with or without food.

• If you're also taking antacids, make sure to take them at least 2 hours after this medicine.

• Similarly, if you're on bile acid sequestrants, take Razel-F10 Tablet either 2 hours before or 4 hours after them.

Razel-F10 Tablet comprises two active ingredients:

• Fenofibrate (67 mg): This component activates a nuclear receptor known as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPARα). PPARα modulates genes regulating lipid metabolism, hence leading to an increase in HDL-cholesterol synthesis and promoting clearance of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins from the blood plasma. It also reduces the production of apolipoprotein C-III, a substance that inhibits the activity of lipoprotein lipase.

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient works by competitively inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme critical for cholesterol biosynthesis. By inhibiting this enzyme, rosuvastatin promotes uptake and catabolism of LDL from the circulation by increasing the expression of LDL receptors on hepatocytes. It also inhibits hepatic synthesis of VLDL, the precursor of LDL. Overall, rosuvastatin significantly reduces total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, and triglycerides levels.
