Rasalect 1 Tablet is used to manage the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. It contains rasagiline, from a group of medicines known as anti-Parkinsonian medicines, and helps improve motor function and reduce tremors by increasing dopamine levels in the brain.
It is used in the early stages of Parkinson's disease as initial treatment on its own, and in more advanced stages alongside levodopa. Take this medicine as prescribed, usually once in the morning.
Staying physically active as advised, working with a physiotherapist, and eating a balanced diet can help support movement and overall wellbeing alongside this medicine.
Before starting this medicine, tell your doctor about any pre-existing conditions or other medicines you are taking, particularly antidepressants. Contact your doctor if you notice mood changes, unusual behaviour or loss of balance.
