RABALKEM O Tablet is used to manage nausea, vomiting and conditions related to excess stomach acid. It combines rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, with ondansetron, a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist.
Rabeprazole reduces the amount of acid the stomach produces, relieving acid-related symptoms and helping heal the stomach lining, while ondansetron blocks serotonin receptors in the gut and brain that trigger the vomiting reflex, controlling nausea and vomiting.
Take this tablet as your doctor prescribes, usually before meals or before chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery, and continue for the duration advised even if you begin to feel better.
Tell your doctor if you have a heart rhythm problem, or a family history of one, as ondansetron can rarely affect the heart's electrical activity. Long-term use of rabeprazole can affect magnesium and vitamin B12 levels, so tell your doctor if you notice unusual tiredness, muscle cramps or tingling.
