Indapamide (1.25 Mg) + Perindopril (4 Mg)

Perindprim Plus Tablet 10 is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). It is a combination medicine that belongs to the category of ACE inhibitors and thiazide-like diuretics.

Perindprim Plus Tablet 10 is used for:

Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension)
Long-term control of blood pressure to help protect the heart, brain, and kidneys

Follow these instructions while taking Perindprim Plus Tablet 10:

Take Perindprim Plus Tablet 10 exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Take the tablet in the morning before food for the best effect.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew it.
Take this medicine at the same time each day for the best results.
Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, even if you start feeling well.

Perindprim Plus Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Perindprim Plus Tablet 10 may cause the following common side effects:

Headache
Dizziness or feeling light-headed
Feeling tired or weak
Cough
Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort
Diarrhoea or constipation
Dry mouth
Skin rash or itching
Sleep problems
Mood changes
Muscle cramps
Low blood pressure
Change in taste

Nausea: Taking Perindprim Plus Tablet 10 in the morning before food, as advised by your doctor and drinking enough fluids may help reduce discomfort.

Indapamide (1.25 mg): This helps the body remove extra salt and fluid, which reduces blood pressure with a mild diuretic effect.

Pregnancy

Avoid taking Perindprim Plus Tablet 10 if you are pregnant unless it is advised. This medicine is not recommended in early pregnancy and must not be used after the third month of pregnancy, as it may harm the unborn baby. Always consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.

Breastfeeding

Lithium: Taking these medicines together can increase lithium levels and cause serious side effects, so this combination is usually avoided.

High-potassium diet: It is advisable to avoid a high-potassium diet while taking Perindprim Plus Tablet 10, as this medicine may increase potassium levels in the blood. Do not use salt substitutes or potassium supplements unless advised by your doctor. Your doctor or dietitian can guide you on an appropriate diet during treatment.

Perindprim Plus Tablet 10 interacts with the following diseases:

Asthma or Chronic cough: ACE inhibitors may cause a persistent dry cough in some patients.
