Contraindications

• This medicine should not be taken by patients with known allergies to indapamide or perindopril.

• It is also contraindicated in patients with bilateral renal artery stenosis (narrowing of the arteries to both kidneys).

Other Medications to Avoid

• Indapamide + Perindopril may interact with other diuretics (eg., furosemide or hydrochlorothiazide), NSAIDs (eg., ibuprofen, naproxen) and direct renin inhibitors (eg., aliskiren, remikiren).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Taking more than the prescribed dose of Indapamide + Perindopril may cause symptoms such as very low blood pressure, dizziness, dehydration, or fainting. Severe overdose may also cause electrolyte disturbances, kidney impairment, or reduced consciousness. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical attention immediately.

• If you miss a dose of Indapamide + Perindopril, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve after discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• For dizziness or lightheadedness, try getting up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.

• Increased thirst can be managed by drinking enough fluids unless instructed otherwise by your doctor.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Indapamide + Perindopril may cause dizziness, therefore, it may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. Avoid these activities if you feel dizzy after taking this medicine.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Indapamide + Perindopril is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes or heart disease should exercise caution when taking Indapamide + Perindopril.
