• Orofer S Injection is administered via a slow injection or infusion into your veins.

Orofer S Injection contains Iron Sucrose (20 mg), which acts on your body as follows:

• Reticuloendothelial system breakdown: Iron sucrose is broken down by the reticuloendothelial system in your body into iron and sucrose components.

• Iron Utilisation: The iron component is then either stored in the reticuloendothelial system as ferritin and hemosiderin or utilised directly for erythropoiesis, which is the process of producing new red blood cells in the bone marrow.

• Sucrose Excretion: The sucrose component is mainly eliminated through urine.

• Iron Deficiency Management: Iron sucrose helps manage iron deficiency anaemia by replenishing iron stores and stimulating erythropoiesis, particularly in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis.

• Keep Orofer S Injection stored at a temperature between 15°C to 25°C.
