Nepatech Eye Drops 5ml

Nepatech Eye Drops 5ml is used for the management of:

• Post-operative pain following cataract surgery
• Inflammation associated with ocular surgical procedures
• Redness and irritation after ophthalmic surgery
• Protection of the ocular surface during recovery

• Wash hands thoroughly before handling the bottle.
• Shake the bottle if advised by the doctor.
• Tilt the head slightly backward.
• Gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
• Instil the prescribed drops into the affected eye.
• Close your eyes gently for one to two minutes.
• Avoid blinking repeatedly immediately after instillation.
• Do not allow the dropper tip to touch the eye, eyelids, or surrounding surfaces.
• Replace the cap immediately after use.
• Contact lenses should not be worn during the post-operative healing period unless specifically advised by your ophthalmologist.

Nepatech Eye Drops 5ml is instilled as topical ophthalmic drops.

Nepatech Eye Drops 5ml contains the following ingredients:

• Nepafenac (0.1%): Nepafenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent used in ophthalmology. After instillation, it penetrates the cornea and is converted to amfenac, an active metabolite that inhibits cyclo-oxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes. This reduces prostaglandin synthesis responsible for ocular pain, swelling, and inflammation following surgery.
• Oxychloro Complex (0.005%): Oxychloro complex is a stabilised oxychlorine preservative system that helps maintain sterility of the formulation. When exposed to light on the ocular surface, it breaks down into sodium and chloride ions, oxygen, and water, thereby minimising preservative-related ocular irritation while protecting the solution from microbial contamination.

• Store below 25°C.
• Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date mentioned on the packaging.

• Proper care after eye surgery improves recovery and reduces complications.
• Avoid rubbing your eyes and follow all post-surgical instructions from your ophthalmologist.
• Use protective eyewear outdoors if recommended after surgery.
