Nebasulf Ointment 20gm is used to manage bacterial skin and eye infections, and to help prevent infection from minor wounds such as cuts, scrapes or burns.

Uses of Nebasulf Ointment 20gm are:

• Bacterial Skin and Eye Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the skin and eyes.

• Wound Infection Prevention: Helps prevent infection from developing in minor cuts, scrapes or burns.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before and after application. If treating the affected area, avoid washing it immediately after use.
• Cleanse the infected area before you apply the ointment and ensure that it is dry.

• You may use a thin dressing to cover the area if your doctor advises.

Nebasulf Ointment 20gm contains the following ingredients:

• Bacitracin (400 IU): Bacitracin acts by interfering with the transportation of cell wall building blocks in bacteria. This weakens the bacterial cell wall, causing the bacteria to die.
• Neomycin (3400 IU): Neomycin works by attaching to bacterial ribosomes, blocking protein synthesis. This halts the growth and replication of bacteria.
• Polymyxin B (5000 IU): Polymyxin B disrupts the outer cell membrane of certain bacteria, making it easier for substances to pass through. This allows the antibiotic to enter the cell and disrupt its functions, leading to the bacterial cell's death.
