MUCOEND AM TABLET 10 is used for the following:

• Managing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

• Clearing excess mucus from airways

• Improving breathing in respiratory conditions

• Reducing phlegm accumulation in lungs

• Thinning sticky respiratory secretions

• Enhancing airflow in blocked respiratory passages

• Supporting respiratory function in lung disorders

• Aiding expectoration in productive cough conditions

• Improving lung function in breathing difficulties

Follow these instructions while taking MUCOEND AM TABLET 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.

• Complete the full course prescribed by your doctor even if you feel better.

MUCOEND AM TABLET 10 is taken orally.

MUCOEND AM TABLET 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Acetylcysteine (300 mg): This component breaks disulfide bonds in mucus glycoproteins, which are protein structures that make mucus thick and sticky. By breaking these bonds, acetylcysteine reduces mucus viscosity and makes it easier to cough up.

• Ambroxol (30 mg): This ingredient stimulates the production of surfactant by type II pneumocytes, which are specialised cells in the lungs. Surfactant is a substance that helps reduce surface tension and prevents the collapse of air sacs in the lungs.

Follow these instructions for storing MUCOEND AM TABLET 10:

• Store MUCOEND AM TABLET 10 at room temperature in a dry place.

• Keep the medicine protected from light and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until ready to use.

• Keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Do not use MUCOEND AM TABLET 10 after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day to help thin mucus secretions in your lungs and make coughing more productive when managing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

• Avoid smoking and second-hand smoke exposure as these irritate the airways and worsen respiratory conditions like COPD that MUCOEND AM TABLET 10 helps manage.
