Montegress Xl Tablet 10

MONTEGRESS XL Tablet is used for the symptomatic relief of respiratory conditions such as the common cold, bronchitis, bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, pneumonia and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Uses of MONTEGRESS XL Tablet 10 are:

• Productive Cough: Thins mucus and clears the airways, improving breathing in bronchitis and cold-related chest congestion.
• Allergic Respiratory Symptoms: Manages sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes and itching linked to allergic respiratory conditions.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing or breaking the tablet.
• This tablet can be taken with or without food, according to your doctor’s advice.

Montegress Xl Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Montegress Xl Tablet 10 contains three active ingredients:

• Ambroxol (75 mg): It is a mucolytic agent that reduces mucus viscosity and stickiness in the respiratory tract, facilitating easier expectoration. This action makes the mucus thinner, helping clear congestion in the airways.
• Levocetirizine (5 mg): It is an antihistamine that inhibits the release of histamine and inflammatory mediators, effectively relieving allergic symptoms like sneezing, itching, runny nose, and watery eyes.
• Montelukast (10 mg): It is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that targets inflammatory leukotrienes released in response to allergens. By blocking these leukotrienes, it reduces airway inflammation, alleviating nasal congestion and breathing difficulties associated with allergic rhinitis.

• Store Montegress Xl Tablet 10 at the temperature below 30°C.
• Do not expose the medicine to direct light or heat sources.
• Ensure the medication is out of reach of children.
• Make sure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• To minimise allergic reactions, it's recommended to avoid known allergens like pollen and dust. Additionally, be cautious with certain food items that can trigger allergies.
• A balanced diet rich in vitamins C and E can help support lung health. Include oranges, strawberries, almonds, and spinach in your meals.
