Mimcina 30 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing secondary hyperparathyroidism in chronic kidney disease

• Managing hypercalcemia in parathyroid carcinoma

• Treating primary hyperparathyroidism

• Controlling parathyroid hormone levels

• Regulating calcium levels in the body

• Balancing phosphorus levels in dialysis patients

• Managing complications of kidney dysfunction

• Preventing bone disease in kidney patients

Follow these instructions while taking Mimcina 30 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take this medicine with food or shortly after meals.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take it at the same time each day to help you remember.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.

• If you experience persistent side effects, consult your doctor.

Mimcina 30 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Mimcina 30 Tablet 10 contains Cinacalcet (30 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Increases calcium receptor sensitivity: Cinacalcet enhances the sensitivity of calcium-sensing receptors to extracellular calcium, which are proteins found on the surface of certain cells, particularly in the parathyroid glands.

• Regulates parathyroid hormone: By increasing the sensitivity of calcium receptors, it helps reduce the production and release of Parathyroid hormone (PTH) from the parathyroid glands.

• Controls calcium levels: Through its action on PTH, cinacalcet helps manage calcium levels in the bloodstream, preventing them from becoming too high in conditions like hyperparathyroidism.

• Balances phosphorus levels: The medicine also helps regulate phosphorus levels in the body, which is particularly important for patients with kidney disease who often have difficulty maintaining proper mineral balance.

Follow these instructions while storing Mimcina 30 Tablet 10:

• Store Mimcina 30 Tablet 10 at room temperature (not exceeding 30°C).

• Keep away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.

• Store it in the original packaging to protect it from environmental exposure.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Check the expiry date before use and discard properly if it has expired.

• If you have secondary hyperparathyroidism (overactive parathyroid glands) with kidney disease, consider following a low-phosphorus diet by limiting intake of processed foods, soft drinks, and dairy products.

• For those with hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels), maintain adequate hydration by drinking 2-3 litres of water daily to help your kidneys flush out excess calcium.
